Prior to the auctions, every collector I spoke with commented on the extraordinary presentation of these two collections and the awesome accomplishments of the philatelists who assembled them. At the auctions themselves, attendance was unusually strong with the agents representing over 100 additional collectors and another 30 plus individuals who participated by telephone during the auction.
