The air was electric as the room filled with eager participants for this important
collection of China philately. Minutes before the auction was to begin, we contacted
the seven collectors, from three different continents, who had requested to be on the
phone for the entire sale. During the auction, the bidding was intense and the subsequent
realizations were powerful. This was truly an exciting evening of philately, and many of
our clients with other collecting interests came as well, just to experience this event.
