The example in the Markovits sale (MBI sale 273, Feb. 2004) was listed as unique. This stamp appeared a couple years later and is the only other example, of which we are aware, with a double overprint. It is far better centered than the Markovits example.

State Dept., 1875 Special Printing, $2 green & black, overprinted "Specimen" (O68SD), without gum as issued, quite nicely centered for the $2.00, and with brilliant color. the PF certificate states "cleaned to remove toning at top," there is absolutely no trace of toning or cleaning visible to the naked eye, the Friedl certificate makes no mention of the cleaning. Still Very Fine.
